underwhelming stay, could be better
peeling paintmissing remote
The room i got, a double bedroom, felt quite old. some paint was peeling and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been updated in ages. i also noticed the tv remote was missing. I had to call down to reception, it took them a while to bring one. it wasn't exactly what i was expecting, especially considering the price.

the staff was friendly which was good.
my room felt isolated, because it was on the lower floor. the room was in need of updating and had poor lighting. breakfast was bland, and the continental options looked leftover.

The views from the room were amazing. the room itself was lovely, clean, and very large! breakfast was really nice. I also had dinner at the restaurant, a lovely experience. i also found a surprisingly good gym.
i attended reception to collect some gift vouchers, but the woman at the desk was on the phone. she kept her head down and continued the conversation. it took her around 10-15 minutes to perform the very basic task of sorting the vouchers on the computer.
